The last days were about slow, steady improvement and painting a castle wall. Day 4 and Day 5 were really one and the same, and as such, I have filed them together.
The face was defined better and skimmed slightly in pink over the cheeks, the lips were reddened towards the dress colour, the hair was deepened and restyled and cut and lengthened and finally coiffured. The seat was chiselled to rid it of an error of perspective – I had had to make up everything that existed on the left, and after I had finished it no longer showed. Bricks and mortar and stone and then done. I took a lot of photographs and let it dry a bit.
The client loves it. I quite like it too.
